John is one of the foremost experts on archiving, accessing, acquiring, and the dissemination / publishing of scholarly information in Asia today.  John founded DeVette Publishing Solutions with its goal to improve the quality of scholarly communication in Asia, by breaking down bottlenecks that are choking the flow of learning.  He is a member of the EBSCO Founders’ Club, and before 2008 was Vice-President and Asia General Manager.  He is a member of the Society of Scholarly Publishing, the North American Serials Interest Group, and several national library associations in Asia.  He is fluent in Chinese and currently lives in Malaysia.
